Dean Blais wishes to have the perfect National team for US. He is the coach of the US for the 2010 World Junior Championship and he will be using a camp to choose the perfect team to fight for US. He already spent a week keeping a close watch on the 43 best junior-age players when they show off what they have to show on and off the ice.
According to Blais, interviews will be done before starting the camp. Camp runs from August 7th to the 15th and the players chosen for the camp are given questionnaires. The individual stats may say who is fit to be on the team, however, the question of will they jive as a team? Will each of these players be able to play with each other as a team? Will they be able to do little thongs to let the team win?
Team chemistry is what matters most in building a team. This is also a tough thing to do when they are at the same time looking out for themselves. The first thing that these players must do is look out for themselves first as it will be crucial on the first cut on Sunday.
Three days of practice will be followed by a game against Russia. This will test whether the team has that perfect chemistry if players work well with each other. There are already three players who are eligible for the 2010 draft and this may include defenseman Cam Fowler. This player will play with Windsor Spitfire, Ontario’s Hockey League. According to Blais he is a special player and he is seen to be in the top of the draft. Players of his likes are the players that Blais is looking for them to find the right fix.
