Cardinals - Injured Players

Brendan Ryan, Cardinal’s shortstop/second baseman, was injured in the fifth inning in a game against the Braves. After the incident, Ryan was placed on a 15-day disabled list because of a left hamstring injury after running a foul grounder.
The cause of the injury was even more frustrating for Ryan because the ball was called foul, making his effort a useless move. After the Head Athletic trainer Barry Weinberg checked on Ryan’s condition it was immediately decided that he will not be allowed to play for the rest of that game he was then replaced by Brian Barden.
This was a wrong timing for the Cardinals because their original shortstop Khalil Greene was not there because of a right forearm strain that was why Ryan was there. It would be difficult for Greene to throw because of the injury that he had. With both the injured team members, a decision should be made.
The options to replace temporarily the two Cardinals, while they are recovering, a possibility of promotion is for David Freese which is the third baseman and Tyler Greene, the infielder. The choice may be siding with Tyler Greene with his records.
Tyler Greene was hitting .296 when he was at Triple-A Memphis. He was drafted two picks behind Colby Rasmus as a college Junior at Georgia Tech. His 9 RBI and seven stolen bases in 71 bats is his contribution to his team. He may be chosen as the Cardinal’s shortstop as Khalil Greene is still recovering from his injury.
The set-up may be something new to the Cardinals. With two of their team’s best players out due to an injury, it may be hard but it is something that they had to deal with. However, will this injury prevent the Cardinals to play at their best? Or will this be a challenge that they will be facing strongly?
